House: Ranger Headquarters
Year: 1967-2013
Location: Waratah Park
Description: The Ranger Headquarters building was constructed by Lockwood Homes. External cladding and windows are made from western red cedar, flooring material is cypress pine. Construction took place late 1966 and early 1967, then filming commenced May 1967. Some of the internal walls were floating walls which could be moved for the filming of wide shots. The smaller building to the left of Ranger Headquarters, originally Jerry's bedroom, was used as a change room for the actors. Cave interiors were constructed inside the helicopter hanger, which was later demolished to make way for two duck ponds. Crown Lands are now going to kick in a few dollars to have the building restored. Below are a collection of then and now photos. Ranger Headquarters floor plan courtesy Jason Smith . 1. Hi Andrew
All of the structural damage will be repaired. New facia and gutters will be installed. The decking around the back and side will be repaired. The lounge, office furniture and photographs have all ready been sent away to be restored.

  6. Hi Brett. Not sure if you're still monitoring this site. Just wondering if you have high resolution pics of the front of the building? I'd like to try making it in 3d. I've just finished doing the helicopter, so it would be nice having somewhere to park it! https://flightsim.to/file/40010/bell-47-repaint-skippy . cheers
