Year: 1968
Location: Mona Vale & Waratah Park
Description: Greg Haines, from station 'Green', is getting married. So it's all hands on deck. Matt will be giving the bride away, Mark and Sonny are ushers, Jerry is the best man. A call comes in over the radio, Jerry is dispatched to sort out the trouble. After apprehending two youths in a boat causing havoc on the parks waterways Jerry receives another call, he must rescue a man caught on a ledge at Mt Simpson. When Jerry returns to headquarters he is confronted with the problem of no transport. So Clancy saddles up a horse for him, Jerry only just makes it to the church on time. Below are a collection of photos showing where the church was, surrounding shops and a couple of other buildings. The only objects to remain after 44 years that I could see were two norfolk pines, Mona Vale memorial hall and the heritage house, Dungarvon.
Additional Notes: Local store keeper and boat builder James Booth was involved in the construction of St Johns church and Dungarvon. Dungarvon was constructed between the years 1906-1907. The church in the Skippy episode is not St Johns church. St Johns is located a few doors up from Dungarvon.
